House and garage

Context

In the summer of 2019, Ecosolaris was mandated by a couple to design and install a hydronic radiant floor system in their residence under construction.

Needs

Heat the concrete slabs of the following 3 sections of the house:

Garden level: 1120 sq. ft. with 6 thermostats

Main Floor: 1120 sq. ft. with 3 thermostats

Garage: 440 ft2 with 1 thermostat

Installation

PEX tubing was attached directly to the wire mesh for the garden level and in the garage

The PEX pipes were attached directly to the plywood for the first floor. Afterwards, a 1 1/2″ concrete slab was poured

The concrete was poured in all the three sections of the house during the same day

Floor finish

On the garden level, polished concrete was selected as the finish for the structural slab

On the first floor, ceramic tiles were selected as the floor covering

2 X Wilo S-21 circulating pump

1 X Manifold Ecosolaris 6 circuits (Garden level)

1 X Manifold Ecosolaris 9 circuits (Ground Floor and Garage)

10 X Thermostats Sinopé TH1400ZB with floor sensor

1 Caleffi ZVR104 control box (for first floor and garage)

1 control box Caleffi ZVR106 (for the ground floor)
