Context

In the summer of 2021, Ecosolaris was mandated by a couple to design and install a hydronic radiant floor system in their residence under construction.

Needs

Heat the concrete slab of the residence:

House: 2075 sq. ft. with 6 thermostats

Garage: 840 ft2 with 1 thermostat

Installation

PEX tubing was attached directly to the wire mesh over an urethane insulation

One of the manifolds is deported to a closet in the center of the house to to obtain a better heat distribution.

Floor finish

In the house, ceramic tiles were selected as the floor covering

In the garage, no covering was installed over the concrete
